The Moorish Story

We've been Darwin's original tapas restaurant for 20 years. The culture of tapas emerged in a Southern province in Spain and is now a globally embraced way of eating. Defined as small plates of food, tapas encourage sharing and conversation while allowing guests to explore assorted dishes. We've taken inspiration from the flavours of Spain, the Mediterranean and North Africa to create Darwin's best and brightest tapas eatery that prides itself on being a standout food experience. 

 Located on vibrant Knuckey St, guests to our urban retreat can recline in a daybed, sip on a "Darwin sunset" cocktail or sangria and be transported to lands far away with Moorish Cafe's international menu selection. Indulge in small tapas bites and larger plates that include daily Moroccan tagines, Portuguese seafood hot-pot or dukkah crusted steak.
